The most important sights in Berlin Mitte

Around the government district in Berlin, you can visit some of the most important buildings in the German capital. The Berlin Mitte district in the center of the capital is a destination for many visitors to Berlin due to its historically significant sights. In the government district you will find the Reichstag, whose glass dome invites you to visit. Not far away is the Brandenburg Gate. If you cross this world-famous Berlin landmark heading east, you can reach Alexanderplatz via Unter den Linden. On the way you will pass well-known buildings in the historic center, such as the Humboldt University, the Neue Wache, the Zeughaus and the Schlossbrücke. In the other direction, the Brandenburg Gate borders the Tiergarten. With sunbathing lawns, tree-shaded walking paths and several bodies of water, this huge park invites you to relax. The Straße des 17. Juni runs through the Tiergarten to the west, and the Victory Column rises at the Großer Stern.
