Around the government district in Berlin you can visit some of the most important buildings of the German capital. The Berlin Mitte district in the center of the capital is the destination of many Berlin visitors due to its historically significant sights. In the government district you will find the Reichstag, whose glass dome invites you to visit. Not far away is the Brandenburg Gate. Crossing this world-famous Berlin landmark to the east, you can reach Alexanderplatz via the street Unter den Linden. In the other direction, the Brandenburg Gate borders the Tiergarten. With sunbathing lawns, tree-shaded walking paths and several bodies of water, this huge park invites you to relax. The Straße des 17. Juni leads west through the Tiergarten, and the Siegessäule (Victory Column) rises at the Großer Stern.
