Brunswick, the Lion City

Braunschweig: The historically grown city, which was first mentioned in a document in 1031 and developed under the strong influence of the Guelph King Henry the Lion from the 12th century onwards, is now the largest city between Hanover and Berlin with 250,000 inhabitants. It offers a varied cultural life with renowned museums, excellent concert and theater performances, art exhibitions and major sporting events. The Braunschweig region is also considered an important European location for science and research as well as a dynamic location for business and trade.
