Hanover: City of culture between tradition and modernity

Hanover, the "metropolis in the countryside", offers a wide range of cultural activities with its eventful history from medieval center to trade fair city. Hanover impresses with its richness of facets: The Herrenhäuser Gardens present themselves in baroque splendor with the rebuilt baroque palace and the giant fountain. In the Expo Park, on the other hand, several exhibition pavilions recall the Expo 2000. Between magnificent brick Gothic buildings such as the Old Town Hall and the Market Church, there is a wide range of shopping in the city center. Especially for the Ernst-August-Galerie, located near your IntercityHotels Hannover, you should bring plenty of time. On the banks of the Leine, which is lined with several sculptures by Niki de Saint Phalle, a traditional flea market takes place on Saturdays. A museum of significance far beyond Hanover's borders is the Sprengel Museum, located on the Maschsee, with works of contemporary art. The "UNESCO City of Music" also offers a wide range of theater and concerts.
