A photo art project by Daniela Djukic and Patrick Pollmeier.
Old buildings disappear, new ones appear, streets get new names, are enlarged, reduced, rerouted. Places are in a state of flux. In their joint work, Daniela Djukic and Patrick Pollmeier attempt to break up the inherent reference in photography to what was. With image extensions, changes of perspective and reductions, the two photographers create a visionary image of Barmbek. There is no today, yesterday or tomorrow to be seen. Rather, the work plays with everyday visual habits. It attempts to open the eye to the possibility of the place and offers an individual approach via the single image. The viewer is encouraged not only to look straight ahead on his walk, but instead to turn around, stop and let his gaze wander.
