NEWS: WORK AT DANHAUSER SALON & TERRASSE 7-12 JANUARY 2026

Final improvements are still needed on the floor of our new restaurant DANHAUSER SALON & TERRASSE, and these will now be carried out from 7 to 12 January 2026.

Our menu and opening hours will remain unchanged during the daily work. Our breakfast buffet as well as lunch and dinner for events will be served in our NEPOMUK Bar & Salon and the adjacent, light-flooded 180m² event suite “SCHUBERT”. We will endeavour to minimise any disruption. Our NEPOMUK BAR & SALON will of course remain open daily from 11:00 a.m. to midnight, serving food and drinks.

Start your day energized in our cozy, bright, and light-filled urban DANHAUSER Salon & Terrace with our rich breakfast buffet, freshly prepared live egg dishes, and Viennese coffee and tea specialties. In summer, when the weather is nice, the idyllic courtyard terrace invites you to enjoy an al-fresco breakfast. Our wide selection of dishes is exclusively and seasonally sourced from carefully selected local producers and partners in the region. The daily offerings include vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and many healthy options, as well as seasonal local specialties, delicious pancakes, and of course, sparkling champagne. We also have orange juice – though it’s not from Austria, so we would be happy if you chose our Austrian quality apple, currant, or elderberry juices instead. We give our all for a great start to your day and a healthy planet. Step into our wonderful living room and heart of the house!

Here we celebrate the charismatic esprit, drive, cosmopolitanism, love of Vienna, courage, creativity and actionism of Johann Nepomuk Nestroy (*December 7, 1801 in Vienna; † May 25, 1862 in Graz; playwright, actor and opera singer).

During the day, we celebrate Viennese coffee house tradition with selected snacks & pastries. From 18: 00 pm, the design ambience created by ‘Studio Matteo Thun & Partners’ transforms into ‘Margareten's bitter-sweet, collective, rooted connoisseur salon’ in which our charismatic hosts offer a hand-picked, best selection from Viennese wine to sparkling water, from coffee to lemonades, from mocktails to bitters, from cocktails to spritzes, from toast to schnitzel and from cheese to ice cream, accompanied by curated DJ sounds and sparkling unique chandeliers.
