We are your host in more than 20 countries worldwide. At the moment the regulations for entry and overnight stay can vary from country to country. In Germany, most Corona protection measures have been lifted nationwide. However, individual regions can be defined as hotspots, in which the usual regulations such as mandatory masks and access restrictions apply again.

For your hotel stay, we therefore recommend that you inform yourself about the currently applicable (in)travel regulations and the regionally applicable regulations for your destination before you start your trip. You can find the rules that apply in Germany on the website of the German Federal Government. Please inform yourself in particular about any hotspot regulations. Thank you.

Information on the current rebooking and cancellation rules

In countries and states where tourist accommodation is temporarily prohibited by regulation, we offer all guests and customers a free cancellation or rebooking for your bookings with a tourist background in accordance with the General Terms and Conditions.

If you have booked through a booking platform or a third party provider, please contact your booking provider directly.

The safety and well-being of our guests and employees are our top priority. For this reason, we have comprehensively expanded our hygiene regulations and standards and, building on 90 years of experience, have developed concepts and measures together with our internal and external experts that go far beyond the legal requirements. Concepts and measures that have been additionally certified by external specialists.

We are constantly working on optimizing this safety concept and adapting it to the prevailing circumstances.

Another project to raise our hygiene standards is an antimicrobial nano-coating for frequently used "touch points" to eliminate viruses and bacteria.

We re-evaluate the current situation every day to ensure you have a safe, comfortable and still memorable stay. Nevertheless, we ask for your understanding that we are currently not always able to offer you the usual complete range of services in all hotels.

Public areas

  • Mouth protection is mandatory for all employees
  • Possibilities for hand disinfection in all public places (lobby, restaurant, bar, elevators) as well as at the reception and in the toilet rooms
  • Distance markings (at least 1.5 meters apart)
  • Regular disinfection of contact surfaces (door handles, elevator call button, counter surfaces at receptions, bar, etc.)
  • Regular ventilation of public areas
  • Maximum number of two persons for simultaneous elevator use (except families)
  • Notices on hygiene rules of conduct at central points
  • Fitness and spa facilities are not currently available in all hotels. Please check with your hotel before arrival
  • Offer of rapid tests for employees and guests

Reception, check-in and check-out

  • Cashless payment recommended

  • Disinfection of room keys and cards

    Room cleaning

  • Intensified cleaning including surface disinfection during guest changes

  • Cleaning during the stay after consultation with the guest

  • Regular disinfection of surfaces such as door handles, light switches, remote controls, etc.

  • Certain equipment items, such as magazines or writing utensils, are removed from the rooms if necessary.

Restaurant and bar area

A gastronomic offer is available in all establishments. However, in some establishments not all restaurants are open. Please check with the hotel before arrival.

  • Minimum distance of 1.5 meters between tables or according to the regulations of the respective country
  • Disinfection of tables, counters, bill folders, cruets etc. after each use
  • Opening hours are adapted to the number of guests
  • In hotspot regions, the usual protective measures apply, such as mandatory masks and access restrictions

Banquet

  • Event bookings are accepted subject to official requirements. Events are planned in detail and carried out exclusively in compliance with the official requirements of the respective (federal) country.
  • Minimum distance of 1.5 meters between tables or according to the specifications of the respective (federal) country.
  • Video conferencing with appropriate equipment is offered
  • Catering will be provided in accordance with the specifications of the respective (federal) country. Please check with your hotel before arrival.
  • Regular disinfection of all surfaces as well as regular airing of the event rooms.
