History

In 1914, Béla Waldmann gave Viennese society and its literary elite the Café Herrenhof—a place of gathering, inspiration, and urban culture whose heyday lasted more than two decades.

The name is meant as an invitation to the people of Vienna and their guests to once again fill this place with that same vibrant energy.

With an appreciation for tradition and history—and for enjoyment and connection here and now.
