CHUNQING HUANG, born in 1974, came to Germany from China in 2000 after studying at the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) in Beijing (1994-1998). She lives in Frankfurt, where she studied at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste - Städelschule with Wolfgang Tillmans and Peter Angermann and was a master student of Hermann Nitsch in 2004. Most recently, her series of works &quot;Painter&#39;s Portrait&quot; was shown in an institutional double show at Kunsthalle Wiesbaden and Museum Wiesbaden in 2021 and in a gallery exhibition in Berlin in 2022.

ART BETWEEN THE SEAS presents artworks by the artist Hella Ridder in the public areas of the entire Grand Hotel. These artworks can be purchased and taken away immediately, well-packaged. These pieces are explicitly marked for this purpose.
PURCHASE INFORMATION: All artworks by Hella Ridder throughout the hotel can be paid for either together with your hotel bill or in cash, and can be taken away immediately at check-out. Please contact the hotel reception for this. Reserving artworks is not possible.
BIOGRAPHICAL IMPRESSIONS: Born in 1974 in Daun in the Eifel region and discovered as an artist already in her teenage years, Hella Ridder&#39;s personal development until around 2001 was accompanied by the German artist H. Rötter. Building on a solid foundation of artistic education, the contemplation of nature, as well as the observation of human emotions, remain constant companions.
THE ARTIST ON HER WORK: The abstract landscape as a possibility for individuals to turn towards their inner light was the initial starting point for Hella&#39;s artistic considerations. Giving nature an intuitive expression and enabling the viewer access to this particular emotional state in a magical moment of interaction with the artwork is currently Hella&#39;s driving force and inspiration.
**DETAILS AND TECHNIQUE: &quot;Dimming techniques in thick layers of moist paint are found in my works, as well as fine relief-like structures, which I rarely create using texture paste. Through repeated and elaborate application of various colors and layers, my paintings achieve a special depth effect, often associated with elements of central perspective.&quot;
