The exhibition ‘EN VOGUE’ by artist Chunqing Huang will open on 17 October 2024 at the Steigenberger Icon Parkhotel Düsseldorf. With her latest series of works, Huang explores the tension between appearance and reality, inspired by the Düsseldorf fashion scene. The minimalist depiction of colours and shapes invites visitors to engage with the depth of the moment and question surfaces.

Artist Chunqing Huang, born in 1974, came to Germany in 2000 after studying at the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) in Beijing from 1994 to 1998. She lives in Frankfurt, where she studied at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste - Städelschule under Wolfgang Tillmans and Peter Angermann and became a master student of Hermann Nitsch in 2004. Most recently, her series of works ‘Painter&#39;s Portrait’ was shown in an institutional double exhibition at the Kunsthalle Wiesbaden and the Museum Wiesbaden in 2021 and in a gallery exhibition in Berlin in 2022.
