Kunsträume: "Darmstadt - One City, Two Perspectives"
A photo art project by Philip Frowein and Felix Hüffelmann. In the project, the sides of Darmstadt that first appear contradictory are set in relation to each other. On the one hand, the photographers' gaze falls on the epoch of Art Nouveau, which was formative for Darmstadt's architecture and which emphasized beauty as a promise to man. On the other hand, the gaze lies on a technological and thoroughly rationalized Darmstadt of science. The viewer is thereby provided with a view of Darmstadt that emphasizes the significance of the city and its essential features.
