Enjoying wine and marveling at half-timbered houses in Deidesheim
In the middle of the Palatinate and with a view of the Palatinate Forest, Deidesheim enjoys a special reputation among wine lovers. Former Chancellor Helmut Kohl liked to invite state guests such as Bill Clinton to the Deidesheimer Hof opposite the old town hall. The landlord is the proud owner of numerous photos of illustrious guests who enjoyed stopping off at the excellent restaurant.
In the Museum of Wine Culture in the old town hall, the much praised Deidesheim wine, including Rivaner and Riesling, has become an absolute cultural treasure. During a walk through the town, some have already made acquaintance with the long-standing tradition of wine growing.
